The Priory Grange Hemel Hempstead Treatment programmes

We offer medium- and long-term care and provide many patients with a home for life. Our therapeutic programmes include

  • Flexible care programmes that reflect individual patient needs
  • De-escalation and management of aggression
  • Nursing interventions for all levels of dependency
  • Ongoing assessment to monitor and respond to changing needs and levels of functioning
  • Occupational therapy programmes/ward based and outdoor activities.
  • Psychological Input including IQ testing

We offer three separate units, creating a highly flexible setting that responds to changing patient needs:

Wren House

A 14 bedded ward specifically for vulnerable male patients who may have physical disabilities and mobility issues.

Robin House

A nine bedded ward specifically for females who present more challenging and aggressive behaviour, and who may be detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.

Dove House

An 11 bedded male ward offering an ideal environment for people with complex needs that are often the result of multiple diagnoses of mental and physical issues. Dove House includes a four-bedded high dependency unit for people with mild to moderate challenging behaviours, and who may require more intensive observation.
