Jacques Hall Admissions process

Admission is dependent upon a detailed assessment of individual needs and our ability to meet those needs

Jacques Hall operates a comprehensive 28-days assessment programme which incorporates input from professionals including therapists, specialist care staff and senior education co-ordinators. This highly experienced, multidisciplinary panel supplies valuable information which is used to create the pupil's individual education and care plans.

During the assessment period weekly progress reports are sent to the relevant parties in order to keep the placement process working efficiently. Once the assessment is complete a comprehensive assessment report is compiled and the appropriate placement fees applied.

The in-depth assessment covers the following needs:

  • Care
  • Education
  • Health
  • Physical and emotional
  • Cultural, religious and ethnicity
  • Leisure
  • Contact

Where necessary the initial assessment period will be extended. On completion of the initial assessment there is a further three month review period after which a multidisciplinary meeting is held and a placement at Jacques Hall is confirmed.

Jacques Hall does not take emergency admissions and is not able to work with young people who are entrenched in delinquent behaviours, are addicted to drugs and other illegal substances or who are excessively violent.

Jacques Hall considers referrals from any cultural, ethnic or religious background.

Pupils can be offered the option of remaining at Jacques Hall after their 16th birthday to allow them to complete compulsory education and sit exams.
