Sheridan School Accommodation and facilities
Sheridan School is located in a recently converted modern building in rural Norfolk, between Cambridge and Norwich, just ten miles northwest of Thetford, Norfolk near the attractive village of Northwold. There are mainline train links to Norwich and road links via the A11, the A14 to the Midlands and the A1 to the North.
In 2009 Sheridan School moved from Southburgh into the extensive accommodation and grounds of a former modern and spacious hotel in Northwold, allowing for a variety of leisure activities. The accommodation is set in three distinct buildings located within the safe and secure seven acre site and comprises of five small family units with lounge and kitchenette and mostly en-suite bedrooms. The education buildings form a suite of specialist teaching rooms including a science laboratory, food technology room and information technology room.
The physical environment of Sheridan School plays an important part in the holistic experience of our young people. Bedrooms are large, safe and well maintained private spaces for young people to express their individuality and give them their own personal space. All meals are well balanced, nutritious and reflect the cultural diversity and needs of our young people.
The accommodation is registered as a children's home and so can accommodate young people up to 52 weeks of the year. In addition, the school is fully approved by the DCSF and offers the full National Curriculum with GCSEs and other nationally accredited qualifications.
