Sheridan School Admissions criteria
Admissions to Sheridan School are all on an individual basis and are dependent on a detailed assessment of individual needs and our ability to meet those needs, however most young people are likely to fall within the following criteria:
- Girls and boys aged 10 to 16 years with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties including autistic spectrum disorders (ASD)
- Most will have a Statement of Special Educational Need
- Other difficulties including specific learning difficulties, attention deficit disorder (ADD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
Sheridan School does not take emergency admissions and is unable to work with young people who are entrenched in delinquent behaviours, addicted to drugs and other illegal substances or who are excessively violent. We have a strong commitment to embracing diversity and consider referrals from all cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds equally.
