Willow Unit - male only
Objective - Provide a slow-stream rehabilitative pathway with both physical and psychological support. Its mission is to promote maximum independence in a protected environment using a self care model.
Likely outcomes for service users will be to progress to Cherry Unit, transfer to a
residential or nursing home placement or transfer to Rowan Unit.
Cherry Unit - male only
Objective - To maximise social inclusion, reduce risk of relapse and re-admission, providing a care pathway that supports the person towards increasing independence by developing and
nurturing the necessary life skills.
Outcomes - Discharge to supportive living environment or home with continued interim support from CPN during the re-adjustment phase.
Maple Unit - female only
Objective - Focuses on an adapted recovery model providing a care pathway that matches the presenting unresolved psychiatric issues, with particular focus on self-esteem, life skills and social recovery.
Outcomes for service users will be to progress to other less specialised, mainstream services.
Rowan Unit - male only
Objective - To provide optimum level of physical, psychological and spiritual support. Using an activities of daily living model, embracing recreational, social and communication needs as well as physical needs such as pain management, nutrition and skin integrity.
Likely outcomes will be that service users will remain on the unit for palliative care or transfer to a nursing or hospice environment.
