Sketchley Horizon Overview
Sketchley Horizon is a specialist school for young people aged 8 to 19 years with severe to mild autism and associated learning difficulties. Pupils may also have challenging behaviour as a result of their communication difficulties and a lack of social understanding.
Sketchley Horizon School opened in April 2007 and is already growing at a steady pace. In June/July 2010 the school underwent a successful Ofsted inspection which found the school to be Good with Outstanding features and encouraged the child centred approach offered at the school.
At Sketchley Horizon School we focus on the needs of each individual pupil to create a framework that promotes self-confidence and self-esteem. We aim to raise standards in the education of young people with autism and help them to lead meaningful, fulfilling and happy lives.
