Eden Grove School Overview

Eden Grove is a specialist residential school for boys aged 8 to 19 with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (BESD) and /or learning difficulties. Some boys may also have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, attention deficit disorder or an autistic spectrum disorder. The school provides a warm and welcoming environment and is founded on the principles of family values along with structure, routine boundaries and guidance. This provides a safe and stable environment to help young people manage their difficulties and develop to their full potential.
We provide:
- 52 week education and care provision
- 38 week provision on request
- 24-hour curriculum
- Access to primary, secondary and tertiary education
- Army Cadet Detachment
- Broad, balanced and relevant curriculum
- Independent visitors service via the NSPCC
- Outdoor pursuits programme via the University of Cumbria
- Partnership agreement with Cumbria CAMHS team
- Post 16 provision
- Services from Connexions Cumbria
- Small class and living groups
- Specialist therapeutic services including counselling and speech and language therapy
Placements are long term and for up to 52 weeks a year depending on individual need. 38 week placements are also available upon request. Almost all of the young people referred to the school will have a Statement of Educational Need. Eden Grove can provide places for up to 65 students.
