Our staff team has the expertise and experience to treat most psychiatric conditions. These include anxiety, depression, stress, post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive states, eating disorders and all major acute psychiatric illnesses. Treatment is provided on an inpatient, day care and outpatient basis.

Group Therapy
Clients undergo a focused and negotiated individual assessment and a comprehensive group programme is agreed which is informed by best practice (NICE guidelines) and may include:-

Addiction treatment programme
This service specialises in addiction treatment for substance and behavioural dependency, such as alcohol, drugs, gambling, sex and shopping. All our therapists are accredited by the FDAP (Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals)
The inpatient Addictions treatment programme includes:-

FREE assessment to discuss the problem in more detail without obligation to continue into treatment

FREE weekly aftercare support for 12 months post completion of the 28 day programme

FREE family support during and post treatment
Rivendell child and adolescent eating disorder service
Providing inpatient care, step-down daycare for patients following admissions and an outpatient’s service, we also offer a wide range of treatments in our therapeutic programme including specialist nursing, group and individual therapies, family therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy. Throughout a patients inpatient stay, they will be expected and encouraged to continue with their education. With this in mind an appropriate curriculum timetable is included in all patients treatment programme.
The service offers treatment for male and female patients aged 12 to 18 who have a diagnosed or undiagnosed eating disorder including Anorexia nervosa, Binge eating disorder, Bulimia nervosa and Eating disorders not otherwise specified (EDNOS) and also may have other co-morbid mental health issues, which seriously affect the young person and their families.

Rivendell twelve week early intervention programme
The twelve week early intervention programme is an intensive inpatient treatment service for young people aged 12 to 18 years old who are:

Within 12 to 18 months of the onset of their eating disorder
-
Show significant motivation to get better but have not been able to make persistent progress
-
Have at least one parent or other responsible adult prepared to engage in intensive family or multifamily therapy and support the young person with eating after discharge
What the programme provides:
Pre-admission assessment (assess physical health and motivation of family/intervention) and six week inpatient treatment with:

supported eating
-
intensive family therapy (6 sessions) or multifamily therapy (4 days)

Weekly individual therapy
-
Daily therapeutic group (CBT, self esteem, art therapy, creative therapy, body image)
-
Educational support
-
CPA at 4-6 weeks
-
Overnight home leave 3rd, 4th and 5th weekend

Six week follow up after care

Eating disorder service
The eating disorder service provides effective programmes for the successful treatment of Anorexia nervosa, Binge eating disorder, Bulimia nervosa and Eating disorders not other wise specified (EDNOS). The specially developed eating disorders programme focuses on the psychological, social, behavioural and physical sides of the illness
