General Psychiatry
Our staff team has the expertise and experience to treat most psychiatric conditions. These include anxiety, depression, stress, post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive states, eating disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, schizophrenia and all major acute psychiatric illnesses. Treatment is provided on an inpatient, day care and outpatient basis.
Addiction Treatment Programme
The hospital specialises in addictions treatment for substance and behavioural dependency, such as alcohol, drugs or gambling.
The inpatient Addictions treatment programme includes:-
- FREE assessment to discuss the problem in more detail without obligation to continue into treatment
- FREE weekly aftercare support for 12 months post completion of the 28 day programme
- FREE family support during and post treatment
- A detoxification service is available for those not requiring the full 28 day programme
Eating disorder service
Sion unit at the Priory Hospital Preston is a 10 bedded unit providing effective individualised programmes of care for the successful treatment of anorexia, bulimia and other related conditions.
Eating Disorder daycare and outpatient services
The eating disorder service is located at the Preston Marina Treatment Centre and provides a comprehensive range of services for people who require specialist interventions. Specific packages of care are available for anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, step-down (from inpatient care), weight management and eating disorders not otherwise specified (EDNOS). The service is able to accept male and females aged 16 and over with a diagnosed or undiagnosed eating disorder.
