Crisis admissions service
Rapid emergency admission to a place of safety is available for young people aged 13 to 18 deteriorated to such a degree that they cannot be managed safely in their current environment for even a short period of time. The patient will have been assessed by a local psychiatrist and deemed to require urgent inpatient admission, should the patient’s level of risk necessitate a secure placement, they would require a Section of the Mental Health Act prior to their admission.
The crisis service has a dedicated referral line 07971 884 651 – this number can be called 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
