What we treat

At The Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal we have two separate PICU facilities for men and women.

The Pankhurst Unit

The Pankhurst Unit at the Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal safely manages the acute phase of women suffering from severe mental illness and demonstrating behaviours that challenge. The model of care is specifically designed to meet the needs of women who have exceeded, exhausted or failed to benefit from local resources and who require a safe and secure environment to engage in a therapeutic programme.

The Willows Unit

The Willows Unit at the Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal provides a model of care specifically designed to meet the needs of men suffering from severe and enduring mental illness who require a safe and secure environment in which to engage in a therapeutic programme. The skilled multidisciplinary team has many years experience safely managing complex patients in an acute phase of mental illness often with behaviours that challenge.
