Rossendale School Care
Rossendale School fully embraces the Every Child Matters agenda as this in essence sums up what the school is about and what we are trying to achieve. We believe that a positive environment and ethos engender change and that all aspects of life, both day and residential are geared towards bringing this about. Care is of the highest quality to compensate for the fact that pupils are not living with their own families.
A dedicated team of staff consisting of twelve residential child care officers and a senior practitioner, work under the direction of the head of care, who is a professionally qualified social worker. This ensures that positive and appropriate care at Rossendale School is a reality. There are two care staff teams and both work within the school during the day and within the residential provision between Monday and Thursday evening inclusively. Care staff also operate a weekend duty service during term time in order that pupils and parents can access help and advice.
