The Priory Clinic Canterbury is a private outpatient facility specialising in the treatment of psychiatric disorders.  Set up by The Priory Ticehurst House in 1995 to serve the East Kent area, the clinic is conveniently situated in central Canterbury.

The Priory Clinic Canterbury maintains close links with other hospitals within the Priory group, enabling continuity of care if inpatient treatment becomes necessary.

The aim of the Priory Clinic Canterbury is to provide and maintain a high standard of mental healthcare services to the private sector through a variety of treatments available to patients.  The needs of patients, benefits and choices are identified and acknowledged through assessment, treatment and a mixture of therapeutic activities.

To help achieve and maintain this level of care annual assessments are carried out by the Care Quality Commission and by internal sources within the Priory Group.

The Priory is committed to maintaining the highest standards of occupational health and safety in all of its facilities. We consider eliminating or minimising risks to staff, those in our care and our visitors to be inseparable from all our other objectives. Our safety management and training programmes are continually under review to ensure that a safe and healthy environment is maintained for the benefit of everyone. We ensure that all policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and that they comply with the appropriate statute, regulation, and relevant code of practice and current good practice.

All psychiatrists, psychologists psychotherapists and counsellors who use the clinic are all highly experienced in their respective fields of mental health care and are registered with the relevant professional bodies.
