We have extensive experience of working with children and young adults with Asperger's Syndrome gained from our involvement with Priory Education Services, part of the Priory Group.
Together with Norton Radstock College and other agencies, we link with local employers through supported employment agencies to provide constructive work experience for our young adults.
Students will be assisted in their individual education programmes by the education co-ordinator at Rookery Radstock their Rookery Radstock personal tutor and Norton Radstock learning support team. Each young person has a key worker to act as mentor, guide and carer within the residential unit.
At the end of the programme individuals will be ready to move onto the next step of independence, be that in supported accommodation or independent living within the community. Ultimately they will have the ability to make informed choices and decisions about matters which affect them.
Recent students have achieved their goals ahead of schedule. Typical goals include living in their own flat, going to university or college and returning home to live with their parents.
