Rookery Hove Accommodation and facilities

Rookery Hove is situated in Sackville Gardens in Hove. It is a 13-bedded home, all of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities. All rooms are single occupancy and come equipped with basic furniture, a T.V. and a basin with a mirror and shaver point. The eight rooms on the first floor share three bathrooms with a choice of shower or bath. Of the four en-suite bedrooms on the top floor, three have a bath with a shower attachment, the other contains a shower cubicle. All residents are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms. There are two lounges on the ground floor, one with a widescreen TV, DVD player, games console and video.

There is an I.T. suite with multiple P.C.'s for residents' use and a kitchen designed exclusively to assist residents to improve their cooking skills. There is a lift that goes to every floor.

To the rear of the property, there is a small, secluded garden and patio. On the street, there is pay and display parking.

Residents at Rookery Hove will be registered with a local GP and will access other health professionals (Opticians, Dentist, etc) in the community.

A cook will provide the main meals in the evening Monday - Friday, although there will be ample opportunity for residents to cook for themselves a part of their independence programme and when they prefer to do so. At the weekend the support staff (with help from the residents) will provide the meals. Residents will be offered a healthy, balanced diet with due consideration given to any health, cultural or other special dietary needs.

Residents are able to take full advantage of Rookery Hove's seaside location. We encourage and support them to make full use of these to put their social skills into practice.
