Meet the team at Tadley Horizon School
Lucy Wood - Head Teacher
Lucy's roles include Manager of Learning Difficulties and Disabilities within Highbury Further Education College, Portsmouth in 2003. She then moved to take up the post of Deputy Head Teacher within Hope Lodge School, Hampshire Autistic Society.
In June 2008 Lucy moved to Tadley Horizon School as the Head Teacher (awarded Outstanding by OfSTED in October 2010). Lucy has undertaken a range of qualifications in Southampton University including Cert. Ed, MSc in Education, an Advanced Diploma in Educational Studies and has recently started on the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH).
Hannah Cox - Head of Care
Hannah has worked with children and young people with ASD since 2000 when she started work at Prior’s Court School in Berkshire. She began her work there as a classroom assistant in the school, but transferred to the residential side and worked her way up to Deputy Head of Care. During this time she gained an NVQ Level 4 in management, which stood her in good stead when she moved to the Eagle School in Norfolk to take up an appointment as Head of Care there.
In early 2006 Hannah moved back to the Home Counties when she was appointed as Head of Care at Tadley Horizon School. She has worked on attachment with local authorities and other Priory Group establishments in a managerial or advisory capacity.
Phil Jonas - Executive Principal
Phil has worked in special education and mental health services for over 20 years and prior to joining Priory was an education consultant. He became a qualified teacher in 1990 and then trained in special education at Cambridge University.
He was instrumental in the process of setting up the Tadley Horizon School, which has been consistently successful. He became an Executive Principal in January 2011 and oversees a number of AS/ASD schools within the Priory Educational Services portfolio.
