Farleigh Further Education College - Frome accommodation and facilities
Farleigh Further Education College - Frome has five main residential sites each with its own identity, working ethos and dedicated team of staff. This provides learners with the opportunity to experience independent living in a range of different settings.
Ashleigh Grove - Trowbridge
Ashleigh Grove has room for ten learners in total, five in each house, and caters for learners of varying needs and levels of independence and development. We are therefore able to concentrate the support in the areas where it is most needed.
Sandusky Mews - Frome
Sandusky Mews comprises of four separate houses with five learners living in each. Each house has its own character, and currently, one of the houses is designated for female learners.
Delta Grove - Frome
Delta Grove is the smallest of our houses with just four learners living here to confirm independence skills they have developed in more sheltered surroundings.
North Parade - Frome
North Parade is the largest of our houses offering accommodation to 21 learners, based on the concept of university halls of residence ie mainly single occupancy rooms and self-catering facilities. Farleigh Further Education College - Frome learning centre is situated here, providing support to all learners from all residences, developing skills for life and IT, together with the opportunity for homework sessions with support. Additionally there is also an IT suite at this residence.
Four Winds - Frome
Four Winds is home to eleven learners and has a family atmosphere. Many learners begin their time in this house as it provides a balanced combination of support and opportunities to develop independence.
Whilst at their residence, learners are supported by members of their staff team. They are likely to spend time following their independence programme and working towards achieving their individual learning plan targets. This is achieved by working one-to-one with learning support workers.
