Michelle Whitham Jones - Principal
Michelle Whitham Jones joined Mark College as Principal in September 2010.
Throughout her 20 year career she has taught children from 2 to 19 years in both mainstream and special school settings.
She completed a MEd in Special Education in 2000 and the National Professional Qualification for Headteachers in 2006.
Michelle is dedicated to ensuring each young person reaches their educational and emotional potential with individualised teaching programmes and personalised pastoral programmes.
Lucy Fear - Head of Care
Lucy has worked within the pastoral team at Mark College for over twelve years. In this time Lucy has formed strong relationships with colleagues and pupils and gained a wealth of knowledge which has enabled her to accept promotion to Head of Care. Lucy’s ability to recognise that each individual has his or her own way of working, respecting specific needs, while still maintaining excellent systems to facilitate the requirements’ of the highest level of care to everyone on site.
Jane Uncles - Deputy Head Teacher
Jane Uncles joined Mark College in September 2008. She has worked in mainstream school for 11 years, both as a teacher of history and geography, Head of School and was Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator for five years. Prior to working at Mark College, Jane was a Special Educational Needs Advisor at Wiltshire County Council for four years and as part of this role, she led educational tribunals.
Jane is Deputy Head Teacher and this year is completing the National Professional Qualification for Headteachers.
Polly Adams - Business Manager
Polly gained her degree in Business Studies and has subsequently worked in business and project management for over ten years in local government as well as running her own business.
She joined Mark College in September 2011 to take on the new position of Business Manager, a role which will utilise her background in staff management and development, facilities and regeneration and administration management. Polly is passionate about providing a focused and high quality service to parents, pupils and staff alike.
