Queenswood School Activities
All pupils are offered a range of constructive leisure activities, both during and after school. A full range of sports, recreational and outdoor pursuit amenities are utilised both locally and nationally.
Activities are chosen to be interesting and exciting for those pupils taking part in them and are designed to meet the particular pupil needs. In turn the activities offer the opportunity to develop social skills, meet other young people and develop self-esteem and self-confidence through success.
Community-based learning is an important and significant part of each young person's curriculum at Queenswood School. It provides opportunities for young people to:
- Cope and learn to manage with other environments
- Develop confidence in different contexts
- Apply skills in an increasing variety of real-life situations and contexts
- Experience working with a wider range of people, organisations and others
