Bill Moyes joins Priory Group Board as Non Executive Director
Priory Group (“Priory” or “The Group”) is delighted to announce that Bill Moyes will be joining the Board of the Company as Non Executive Director commencing the 1st December 2011.
Bill brings a wealth of public and private sector experience to Priory. He is currently a trustee of the Nuffield Trust, a non-executive Director of the Office of Fair Trading, an Associate of the Institute for Government and an adviser to a number of commercial and voluntary organisations. He will retain all of those roles whilst serving as a Priory Group Board member.
From 2003-2010, he was Executive Chairman of Monitor, the independent regulator of NHS Foundation Trusts and also Director-General of the British Retail Consortium from 2000-2003 and Head of Infrastructure Investments at the Bank of Scotland.
He joined the British Linen Bank (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Bank of Scotland) in 1994. Before that, he held a variety of posts in the Scottish Office and Whitehall as a senior civil servant, including three years in the Economic Secretariat of the Cabinet Office and four years as Director of Strategy for the NHS in Scotland.
Bill was born and educated in Scotland and has a Ph.D. in Theoretical Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh.
