Complex care hospitals (known as Grange services)
Our growing number of specialist Priory Grange hospitals/homes offer a home and treatment for patients with enduring mental and physical illness, restricted mobility and challenging behaviour. Individuals' conditions are often the result of organic, degenerative or neurological problems, their needs cannot be met in conventional hospitals or care homes.
We provide intensive, highly flexible care programmes in safe, caring environments. The acquisition of new skills and changing behaviours are the central treatment elements.
Our patients have complex needs often as a result of a combination of mental illness such as schizophrenia, and physical illness such as Multiple Sclerosis. We also specialise in caring for adults with early dementias caused by degenerative conditions such as Huntington's Disease.
Our aim is to realise our patients' potential and maximise their quality of life in spite of the limitations of their illnesses.
