Physical disability
Within Priory we provide disabled facilities for patients who require treatment within our acute, secure, grange, and school services.
Our specialist physical disability services are located within the Priory Grange Potters Bar - Aspen Unit in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire and the Priory Highbank Centre - Elton Unit in Bury, Lancashire.
These specialist services provide intensive, highly flexible care programmes in a safe, caring environment for adults with physical disabilities and complex multiple diagnoses. We can provide short-term, long-term and respite care and, provided we can accommodate all of their needs, are able to take adults older than 65 at the Priory Grange Potters Bar - Aspen Unit.
We have a unique ability to care for adults with physical disabilities who have complex needs that cannot be met within conventional hospitals or care homes.
Some of the neurological and degenerative disorders we care for include:
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Huntington's Disease
- Parkinson's Disease
- Cerebral Vascular Accidents (CVA's)
- Acquired brain and spinal injury
