Catering and activities

Priory provides clients with a wide selection of fresh nutritionally balanced meals, prepared by our own qualified chefs and organises regular activities and events including external trips, garden parties and music afternoons.

EMI and dementia nursing features and benefits

Dementia mapping is used in all Priory care homes to assist clients with orientation and recognition. Contrasting hand rails and visual prompts are used to help clients retain as much independence as possible.

We understand how important it is for clients to feel safe and secure in their environment and actively encourage them to bring along their own personal possessions to help them feel at home.

Memory boxes at the entrance to every bedroom prompt and stimulate reminiscence. The memory boxes encourage family involvement and promote conversation between clients, staff and visitors.

Reminiscence rooms contain items of memorabilia from the clients' youth and early adult years. Each room is designed to stimulate memory recall, generate conversation and to promote reassurance amongst those clients who may be living with dementia.
