Education

Priory Education Services works collaboratively in close relationship with local authorities, meeting the needs of young people with autistic spectrum disorders, Asperger's Syndrome, behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, complex needs and dyslexia.

Priory's aims in partnership are the development and continual improvement of services to provide outstanding, transformational, life-changing outcomes for young people.

When developing new facilities Priory Education Services involves partner local authorities closely, for example in 2009 when developing a new purpose built school in South West London and a new service in the East of England, all of the local authorities in the region and a number outside were consulted. We sought their input on the type of needs that any new provision should cater for, on age range, on gender mix/balance, on location and on the nature and content of care, education and health elements. We also asked local authorities for their views on what would constitute an appropriate and fair price for the service. This process has resulted in the development of close partnership arrangements with local authorities. Similar partnerships are being developed in the North where we are planning provision with local authorities.

We strive to meet individual and collective needs of commissioners and referrers in as cost-effective a manner as possible, without compromising our commitment to the achievement of outstanding outcomes for young people.
