Regulation and accreditation
As one of the leading providers of care for psychiatric, psychological and mental health related disorders, we operate stringent procedures and measures to ensure that our patients and pupils receive the highest quality care available.
ISO accreditation
The Priory Group has recently been awarded an ISO certification, which is an internationally recognised accredited quality assurance programme and a respected mark of quality across the world. Our accreditation is ISO 9001:2008, a certification of the quality management system of the Priory Group's corporate office. It demonstrates that we have robust quality assurance tools that set out a clear quality and safety framework of standards which need to be in place to ensure the capacity to provide high quality and safe services and also underlines Priory's commitment to providing a quality and safe service to our service users, staff and visitors.
Care Quality Commission
Priory Group is regulated by the independent regulator the Care Quality Commission which now incorporates the old Health Commission and Mental Health Act Commission. Our standards are also benchmarked against the National Service Framework.

Unannounced Regulation 26 visits
In addition to the Care Quality Commission visits our compliance managers carry out unannounced Regulation 26 visits every 6 months, independently of site management. Compliance managers with expertise in health and safety or environmental and food safety are included in each regulation 26 visit and report twice a year.
DCSF
All Priory Education Services schools are DCSF registered and inspected by Ofsted. Our further education colleges are members of the National Association of Specialist Colleges (NATSPEC) and we work closely with parents and referring agencies from all sectors in order to be responsive to their needs. We also liaise with mainstream schools to develop shared-education packages where appropriate.
Ofsted Reports
Ofsted are an official body that inspect and regulate schools and care homes to achieve excellence in the care and education of children and young people.
In 2008/2009, five of Priory Education Services schools and colleges have received Outstanding Ofsted status. For further details of these individual schools, please click on the links below.
