Adolescents

Who can refer?

All adolescent referrals must be made by a doctor who has seen the adolescent within the last 72 hours.

Referral process

Interested referrers should first telephone the selected hospital, which will then consult the adolescent consultant psychiatrist and the CAMHS unit manager regarding admission suitability. For more details about our CAMHS service click here.

A written assessment, and discharge summary, if possible, must be faxed to the hospital prior to admission.
