Care homes for older people

Who can refer?

Priory care homes for older people accept residents who are referred by local authority social services teams and the NHS continuing care teams.  Prospective residents and/or their families can also approach the care home directly.

Referral process

A comprehensive needs based assessment is undertaken prior to a resident entering the home. This assessment will be undertaken by a registered nurse or the home manager.
