Who can refer?

We accept referrals from a wide variety of public sector organisations throughout the UK, including special hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, prisons, courts, MSUs, SHA forensic lead commissioners, social services, NHS Mental Health Trusts, GPs, the police and others.

More specifically we accept referrals from Broadmoor, Rampton and Ashworth. 

Referral process

A referral can be made to the selected hospital by telephone, email, fax or in writing; this will be passed on to an appropriate consultant psychiatrist.

• We offer prisons and PCTs a rapid transfer service
• Our assessments are FREE and usually carried out within 48 hours
• Urgent and out-of-hours appointments and admissions can be arranged by telephoning the appropriate hospital
