As 85% of the Priory Group of Companies’ services are delivered in partnership with the NHS, local authorities and other public bodies, we are committed to providing a comprehensive and rapid referral process which ensures that individuals are placed into services most appropriate to their needs.

With excellent outcomes and a well-established reputation as providers of choice in mental healthcare and specialist education services, the Priory Group work closely with referring commissioners and community teams to guarantee a transparent process, with early visibility of the individual’s progression throughout each stage of their care.   

By agreeing treatment objectives in accordance with the referrer’s requirements, we are able to undertake the individual’s pre-admission assessment, clarification of diagnosis and care on both a planned and emergency placement basis. We aim to provide a rapid response to referrals - and in the case of emergency referrals we aim to admit within four hours.

We work collaboratively with referrers to agree anticipated lengths of stay and discharge planning from the outset, and maintain good communication with the referring team and commissioners throughout each person’s care pathway with us.
