Priory supports beat, leading eating disorders charity

The Priory Group, the UK’s largest independent provider of eating disorder services, is supporting the charity Beat at its prestigious conference.

The company is sponsoring the evening reception and awards ceremony at the biennial InternationalEating Disorders Conference.  The conference is focussed on sharing the latest knowledge, research and developments in the care and treatment of patients with eating disorders.  It also includes training workshops for clinicians to further develop their skills and knowledge.

Delegates attend from across the world and include clinicians, researchers, service users, carers and volunteers.  At the last conference in 2012, there were 350 delegates representing 24 countries.
The conference is also celebrating Beat’s 25th anniversary.  The charity provides help lines for adults and young people, a UK wide network of self help and support groups and online support including information, message boards and live chat.

Priory hospitals deliver inpatient and outpatient eating disorder services from 14 sites across the UK, working in partnership with the NHS and other organisations to deliver evidence-based care packages, full care pathway solutions and excellent clinical outcomes.

Priory Group Chief Executive, Tom Riall said:  “Priory is proud to be supporting Beat and this important and informative event.

“It is a perfect partnership between the leading care provider and the leading charity in the field of eating disorders and we are delighted to be involved in the conference and to demonstrate the expertise Priory has for treating this group of service users. We are also pleased to congratulate Beat on the outstanding work the charity has done over the last 25 years.”
