Milton Keynes’ MP commends quality of services in local Priory hospital

Milton Keynes South MP, Iain Stewart, has praised the standard of care available to mental health patients at the Priory Chadwick Lodge hospital.

During a visit to the local Priory run site in Eaglestone, Mr Stewart was joined by senior representatives from Priory and hospital staff from Chadwick Lodge.  He met with a number of the patients who are treated at the site and had the opportunity to experience firsthand the specialist mental health services provided.

Chadwick Lodge delivers services for a range of mental health conditions, including patients with personality disorders and those with a history of serious offending.  It employs over 190 staff from a range of specialities including forensic psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers as well as admin and support services staff.

Commenting on his visit, Mr Stewart said, “I have welcomed the chance to see for myself the specialist care available to patients at Chadwick Lodge.  It is clear from meeting with residents and staff here that Malcolm and his team are focused on providing the best possible care and support, and they should be commended for the excellence of their services.”

Chadwick Lodge’s Hospital Director, Malcolm Campbell, added, “Everybody at Chadwick Lodge is focused on working together to deliver high quality care to all our services users. I am delighted that Mr Stewart has been able to visit us and see first-hand the work we do to help those people with challenging mental health issues and to support and prepare them for life outside of hospital.”
