The theme for this year's World Mental Health Day, taking place on October 10th, is 'psychological first aid'. It's a broad term and can truly apply to you, even in the context of helping a friend who is struggling with overwhelming stress, anxiety or depression. To invite conversation on this, what it means to you, and much more, Priory is holding its first National Open Day to coincide.
Taking place in our hospitals up and down the country Priory is opening this invitation out to anyone with an interest in mental health and our experts will be on hand to answer questions. It will also be a great opportunity for those interested in a career in mental health or with Priory to have their questions answered and receive advice on how to get started. This includes nurses looking for a position with Priory.
The open day will be taking place at the following hospitals:
Please feel free to come along and engage on this important topic. The open day will be from 12 noon until 7pm on Monday October 10th, and there will also be a range of food and drinks available, varying from site to site.
For more information, please contact the relevant hospital for more details. If you are interested in finding out more about careers with Priory then you can also register your interest for the National Open Day.
By discussing mental health we can continue to break down the stigma attached and encourage those who are suffering with mental health problems to talk about them. This way, we can create a healthy environment in which they can begin their road to recovery.
We look forward to seeing you October 10th!
