Dr Andersson qualified from St George’s Hospital Medical School (London) in 1983. He undertook higher specialist training in psychiatry on the Royal Free rotation and participated in research with the Medical Research Council at Northwick Park Hospital. During his tenure as a consultant psychiatrist with the NHS in Essex he served for two years as medical director for the Trust. Dr Andersson has worked in the private sector since 1990 on a full and part time basis. His current NHS practice is in Suffolk.
Privately he consults in Colchester Chelmsford and central London. Dr Andersson sees patients with a variety of psychiatric and psychological problems. He does not specialise in the care of the elderly or young children. Dr Andersson has full registration with the General Medical Council and has been a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists since 1990. He participates in ongoing professional development validated by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
