Dr Patrick Mbaya (MB ChB, MSc, MD, FRCPsych, Cert. Psychopharmacology) is the lead consultant for addictions at the Priory Hospital Altrincham and honorary clinical lecturer in psychiatry at South Manchester University Hospital, Wythenshawe. Prior to working at Priory, he was consultant psychiatrist at the Wythenshawe Hospital.
Dr Mbaya runs a daily clinic every Monday and Thursday, he specialises in addictions, general adult psychiatry and affective disorders. Dr Mbaya took up the role of lead consultant for addictions at the Priory Hospital Altrincham in the summer of 2013.
Training
Dr Mbaya completed his medical training at the University of Manchester Medical School and went on to finish his MSC and MD in psychiatry. Research and publications Dr Mbaya has written extensive papers on treatment resistant depression and pharmacology which have been internationally published.
