Joanna joined Priory Hospital Roehampton in 1997 as a registered mental health nurse. Historically working as, a Ward Manager in acute inpatient care, in 2001, Joanna developed her interest in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and group therapy in her role as day therapy manager. Joanna has over 20 years of experience in delivering both individual and group therapy. In the past eight years, Joanna has been specialising in dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) and more recently eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR).

Joanna's clinical strengths include DBT adherent interventions, along with 1-1 therapy, anger management and assertiveness training.

  • Degree in Psychiatric Nursing (Brunel University) (1996)

I aim to promote greater self-awareness and understanding of my patients’ problems and maintaining factors using evidence-based skills with which to effect positive change.

I have extensive experience working with anxiety, depression and psychosis, with a particular interest in personality disorders.
