About

Lorna joined Priory as an occupational therapist where she had joint managerial and clinical responsibilities. Whilst in this role, she completed her cognitive analytic therapy (CAT) training and now specialises predominately in her CAT practitioner role, working with individuals and groups.

As a CAT therapist, Lorna provides brief structured psychotherapy, helping patients to identify learned behaviours or beliefs from the past that may be contributing to current difficulties. The therapy aims to show how such beliefs/behaviours can be changed and to help focus on ways of making better choices in the future to avoid unhelpful repeating patterns.
