Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a therapeutic treatment programme specifically designed to help people with a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder. The DBT programme itself aims to teach patients skills to decrease suicidal and self injurious behaviour, manage their emotions and improve their quality of life. We hope this talk will increase your knowledge of Borderline Personality Disorder as well as improve your understanding of what DBT is and how it can help your patients. We hope you will take away with you specific information about the DBT programme at The Priory Hospital North London and the referral process into this programme.
