As your new local GP Relationship Manager, Sabrina Cator would like to take this opportunity to introduce both herself - and Jeff Van Reenen, Priory's new Addiction Treatment Manager at the Priory Hospital Chelmsford. By way of introduction, Sabrina and Jeff invite you to join them for a complimentary dinner and discussion about addictive behaviours on Tuesday 1st December.
The evening’s discussions will focus on the latest thinking in treatment and new developments with regards to treatment philosophy (including the use of Mindfulness). Throughout the night there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and learn more about how as a GP you can support people with addictive behavioural problems and their family.
Therapists and patients
Sabrina intends for this event to be the first of a new sequence of seminars and to start things off, she is running this event slightly differently. In addition to meeting other GPs and the Chelmsford team, you will have the opportunity to meet Priory's peer supporters and hear their personal stories. By understanding how they have endured their individual challenges it is hoped you will leave feeling inspired and up to date on the techniques being used to combat destructive behavioural patterns.
19:00 Introduction & opportunity to meet team
19:50 Presentation by Jeff and peer supporters, followed by Q&A session
The seminar will begin at 18:45, with a mix of therapists and patients that have been through our program (discussing their route, their addiction and working through it). The event will also cover the philosophical ethos of the programme and cover the questions that GPs may face from patients... Am I an alcoholic/ addict? What can I do? How we can support a person with addictive behavioural problems and their family?
If you wish to attend, please RSVP by Monday 23rd November by calling Sabrina Cator on 07825 363816 or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
