ADHD in Children and Young People

18:30 PM  to  20:00 PM

Priory Wellbeing Centre Norwich

13-15 Cathedral Street

Priory Wellbeing Centre Norwich is holding a free educational session on ADHD in Children and Young People. Hosted by Consultant Psychiatrist Dr Ralph Littlejohn, the evening will provide useful information on how best to support your patients and their parents/carers.

ADHD is a complex mental health disorder and symptoms can differ from person-to-person, affecting approximately 5% of school age children. As GPs and teachers you will be all too familiar with parents asking: “Is my child “naughty” or do they have ADHD?”

The area remains controversial and a quick internet search reveals all sorts of opinions. During the educational evening, Dr Littlejohn will aim to help you feel more confident to recognise the signs and when to refer a patient.

The presentation will include:

  • Clinical features and causes
  • Assessment
  • Psychological treatment
  • Medication Management

This is an interactive event, allowing for a discussion about medication management and shared care between specialists and GPs.
