Albion House

Albion House is a 23-bedded residential care home in Lewisham, for men and women with mental health issues.

We want the best for the people in our care and we place great importance on outcomes and quality of life. We look at what can be achieved for each person, their abilities, interests and needs. We work within a positive environment to encourage confidence, and bring structure, inclusion and opportunity into their lives.

Located near Bromley Road Hospital, Albion House delivers a range of occupational therapy and social inclusion interventions, giving patients continuing involvement in their recovery journey.

Our approach

We aim to provide the greatest opportunities to our patients for independent living, by building the skills and confidence to sustain successful living in the community. We also aim to minimise the risk of relapse and re-admission.

Albion House promotes social inclusion with various activities, including positive safety management and risk reduction strategies. Residents will have an individualised treatment programme and a dedicated key worker to support them through their care pathway.

Fees and Funding

Referrals & Admissions

The following criteria details who will benefit from care at Albion House:

  • People with the diagnosis of enduring or treatment-resistant mental illness and personality disorder
  • People with a forensic background, on a Community Treatment Order (CTO) or conditionally discharged under Section 37/41 of the Mental Health Act (1983) requiring support in the community
  • People with a history of challenging behaviours or vulnerability
  • People with a history of emotional, physical or sexual abuse

Albion House is a place where residents are part of the team. We work together to build the confidence and skills to re-join a meaningful place in the community.

We believe that the environment in which an individual is treated, is just as important as the treatment itself. Our homely setting provides a range of facilities that includes:
