Beechley Drive House (previously Craegmoor) is a specialist group home for adults with learning disabilities who may also have past or present mental illness, located in Fairwater, just outside Cardiff. The home is ideally located for safe, structured and gradual reintegration into the local community along with good transport links to the city centre.
The home can accommodate eight adults; in one mixed house for four adults and in one female only house. Both houses offer a welcoming, safe and comfortable environment with patio areas and vegetable plots.
Recovery focused treatment
The multidisciplinary team work together to develop personalised recovery focused treatment programmes and care pathways, as well as a range of therapies to meet all service user needs. The home strives to stabilise mental health, reduce the behaviours that challenge, develop daily living skills and actively maintain working relationships with case managers and community teams to enable a smooth and successful transition to life outside the home environment.
Close links are maintained with local support groups, education and employment in order to help facilitate reintegration into the community.
