Beverley Mews

Beverley Mews is a 4 bedded step down service designed specifically for women with mental health issues, those on a Community Treatment Order (CTO), with a forensic background, autism and complex behaviour support needs.

Our culture promotes openness and sharing, so that successful new ideas, improvements to best practice, evidence-based care and efficiency enhancements can be adopted by others. Measurement is part of this system, helping us understand what is working and what needs further refinement.

Our approach

We want the best for people in our care and we place great importance on outcomes and quality of life. We look at what can be achieved for each person, their abilities, interests and needs. We work within a positive environment to encourage confidence, bring structure, inclusion and opportunity in their lives.

Patients have an individualised treatment programme and a dedicated key worker to support them through their care pathway. Therapeutic activities aim to build skills and independence and include:

  • Cooking skills development
  • Communication and discussion groups
  • Safety management
  • Individual budgeting plans
  • Personal and environmental care support
  • Vocational skills development
  • Arts and crafts
  • Social activities
