Lombard House

Lombard House is a seven-bedded community locked rehabilitation hospital for men with a history of offending behaviour, who have a learning disability and other conditions including autistic spectrum disorders, personality disorders and mental illnesses.

Patients are admitted from medium and low secure services or external placements and are supported to work through their individual intensive treatment programme to move to the nearby residential community service or through their own local provision.

Our approach

We provide a holistic and individual approach to ensure that patients achieve their full potential of safe living in the least restrictive environment. Lombard House is part of a full discharge pathway which includes medium and low secure services, community locked rehabilitation and residential services.

Our rehabilitation programme teaches patients independence and transferable skills. Patients are encouraged to develop their skills in a community setting and individual programmes will vary dependent on patients' needs as they progress through their individual rehabilitation programme. Patients are supported to participate in the on-site or community based real work opportunities programme including employment and voluntary placements.

Our treatment programme spans:

  • Assessment and motivational work
  • Foundation
  • Offence-specific interventions
  • Personality disorder symptom reduction
  • Consolidation
  • Relapse prevention
  • Preparation for discharge and follow-up care
