Oak Vale Gardens

Oak Vale Gardens is an 18-bed specialist rehabilitation care home with nursing, for men and women with diagnoses that include acquired brain injury and complex health and social care needs.

The two self-sufficient units, Stephenson and Unwin, are designed with the needs of the individual in mind. Oak Vale Gardens is part of the Merseyside and Cheshire Rehabilitation Network.

Oak Vale Gardens is a purpose-built, welcoming place which offers accommodation in easily-accessed grounds, car parking facilities, and is close to local transport links and motorway networks.

Our approach

Our highly trained and expert staff are skilled in working with people who require neurorehabilitation to regain skill, maximise independence and improve quality of life, as well as providing long term nursing care for people with complex physical conditions or progressive neurological conditions.

Residents may require approximately 12-18 months' extended rehabilitation to meet their physical, cognitive, behavioural and emotional needs and support a planned return to community living.

The multidisciplinary team comprises:

  • Qualified nurses
  • Therapy assistants
  • Support workers

Our team gain medical input from rehabilitation consultants at the nearby Walton Centre.

  • Those who will benefit from specialist neurorehabilitation
  • Patients who are medically stable but are often clinically dependent
  • Those who require care following a stroke
  • Individuals who require care following an acquired brain injury

Our referrals mainly come via our network.
