Sheila Ridgley is an established Counsellor and Therapist at the centre and she specialises in Relationship problems. She has 10 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families, focusing on affairs, life-stages, communication, depression, bereavement, work issues or general feelings of low-self-esteem that impacts people’s lives.

Sheila, like all staff at the centre, conducts her therapy in a way which makes her clients feel safe and in a style that suits them. It is aimed at:

  • Newly formed relationships
  • Longer-term relationships
  • Marriages
  • Those who are separated or divorced

She works using a number of theoretical approaches including psychodynamic exploration of the past, to understand how it influences the present.  She also uses systemic theory, belief systems and patterns within current and past family interactions, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solution-focused approaches.
