Young people's mental health and Child Psychiatry Services in London

This service offers intensive inpatient and day patient care for the assessment and treatment of adolescents suffering from acute emotional, behavioural and mental health problems. 

Adolescent Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)/Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) treatment is also offered as a national specialist service for adolescents with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), health anxiety and emetophobia on an inpatient, day patient and outpatient basis. 

NHS England has also commissioned inpatient beds for severe treatment refractory OCD/BDD. The team is led by Dr David Veale and a team of Cognitive Behavioural Therapists and Mental Health Nurses.

Inpatients receive at least three hours of individual therapy per week, group therapy with other OCD or BDD patients and nursing assistance in an programme of exposure and behavioural experiments.
