Coxlease School is a specialist residential school for boys aged 9 to 18 with severe behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (BESD) and /or learning difficulties. We have an excellent reputation for providing highly effective education, care, therapy, welfare and support for boys who may have experienced trauma, inconsistent and confusing care and emotional rejection. Pupils' behaviour will be challenging and many pupils will have encountered negative educational experiences and disruption which have led to a lack of confidence in their own abilities. A stable and caring environment combined with high staff to pupil ratios ensures that every pupil at Coxlease School has the opportunity to develop their ability, share new experiences and reach their full potential.

Through an individual inclusive approach to education and care we provide young people with the opportunity to make positive changes in their lives in order to develop them as life-long learners in pursuit of their individual potential. We are confident that in successfully seizing these opportunities our young people will be included in the wider community as valued and valuable adults.

We provide:

• Integrated care, education and therapy programmes on an individual basis
• Broad and balanced curriculum using the National Curriculum
• Full time education in a motivating learning environment
• Small teaching groups of 4 to 6 per group
• High staff to pupil ratios
• Individual and group therapies including psychiatrist, psychologist and psychotherapist
• Emphasis on personal development and integration into community
• Pathway towards independence

Placements are on a day or residential basis, weekly, fortnightly, termly or for up to 52 weeks of the year depending on individual need. Respite during holidays is also available where required. Coxlease School can provide places for up to 55 pupils.
