Carl is a fully qualified and experienced BACP registered counsellor. He has been counselling clients for nine years.
Carl has worked in different professions and held roles in a number of areas - ranging from adult education to the NHS. He has counselled clients as part of an NHS scheme for over eight years. Carl is also a qualified supervisor. His previous roles include Senior Lecturer for Counselling and Course Leader for Counselling for a university degree.
Carl is an integrative therapist - which basically means he uses a variety of techniques to help his clients deal with issues they may be experiencing. Integrative therapy interests him and he has created a degree course at a university to help others pursue this form of counselling - Integrative therapy, covering Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioural and Person Centred approaches.
Carl’s experience to date has enabled him to work with a vast range of issues. He also has a particular expertise in working with relationship issues, sexuality, self-esteem, depression and anxiety issues, as well as survivors of sexual abuse.
