Diana trained as a Registered Nurse in 1988 and has worked in a variety of healthcare settings. Until 2004 she worked mainly in acute medicine and A&E for the NHS, as well as managing a nursing home in the private sector.
Diana started at Priory Healthcare in 2004, initially working as a nurse at what was then The Priory Clinic Nottingham. At that time the clinic was the only site within Priory Healthcare solely specialising in addiction treatment. After 3 years she took on the role of Clinical Services Manager at the clinic. Diana was responsible for managing the nursing and therapy including outpatient services. In 2010 she took on the role of Hospital Director, managing the service through significant change which included introduction of the company’s only Residential Rehabilitation service for addictions, running alongside the shorter term treatment programmes.
At the beginning of 2014 Diana led the service through its most significant change when the decision was made to repurpose the site from an addiction clinic to an acute mental health hospital. The site reopened as The Priory Hospital Nottingham in May 2014 and provides acute mental health overspill services the NHS, accepting patients from a broad geographic area including England, Scotland and Wales.
Diana moved to The Priory Hospital Church Village at the end of October, after relocating to Swansea. She is looking forward to continuing to develop the hospital to provide a compassionate and quality service.
