Dr Asha Pook qualified as a doctor at Kings College London in 1994. She spent 18 years with the Royal Air Force gaining expertise in the treatment of PTSD, alcohol problems and work-stress. Her military experience has helped shape her philosophy of resilience being at the core of recovery. Moreover, she fully understands the issue of stigma associated with seeking help for psychological problems.
Beyond her work with the military Asha has spent a considerable amount of time working in the NHS and in Australia broadening her experience in emergency psychiatry as well as working in acute and community settings. She has a special interest in psychotherapy and has trained in CBT, EMDR, Hypnosis, DBT, Motivational Interviewing and is an NLP Master Practitioner and Coach.
Asha believes in an integrated approach to mental health and seeks to work with clients, drawing on their own resources, to create a treatment plan that is right for the individual.
